Monster Factory

The Monster Factory is a specialty toy brand that creates engaging plush monsters for everyone to love. Located in Toronto, Canada, the founding team and their talented design staff run a small studio dedicated to the creation of their unique characters. Monster Factory toys are best known for their impeccable quality, signature look and feel, and... engaging personalities. Each monster comes with their own name and humorous write-up, which manages to capture their character perfectly in one to two sentences. These descriptions are relatable and amusing, and make monsters that much more irresistible. Up until now, monsters have been primarily available as an online retail collectable, but for 2013 Monster Factory has created a line of smaller, cuter, and more affordable characters that are ideally suited to retail sales. Released as a first series of twelve, the selection will be updated regularly, with new monsters joining the mix at least twice a year. Monster fans are a diverse bunch. One look at the Monster Factory Facebook group would attest to that. And while there may not be a 'prototypical' monster customer there are common threads seen in most monster fans: they tend to be creative, they love collecting characters, and they appreciate good design. With a broad customer base like that, monsters have found themselves at home in local toy stores, quirky gift shops, even high-end Japanese department stores.
