Mom's Sweet Shop

Mom's Sweet Shop is a real life brick & mortar on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, owned by husband & wife team, Derik & Jessica. We've been growing our shop since July of 2011. Jess grew up going to the original Mom's Sweet Shoppe as a kid, which was located in this same space. Long closed, she had good memories of sitting out front with a cone... and all her cousins on a hot summer night. When we decided to open our vintage shop in this location, we knew immediately what we wanted to call it. Little did we realize we'd be an actual sweet shop within a couple years! What began as an eclectic boutique of locally made items, monthly rotated artwork and vintage clothing has organically morphed into what you'll find today: half retail, half sweet shop. On the sweet shop side we have soft serve ice cream, bangin milkshakes and vegan smoothies & acai bowls. We also sell handmade truffles and candy by the pound. On our retail side we offer quality brands for men & women alongside our hand-selected vintage apparel & home goods; our stash of vintage records for sale is ever-growing. Since Derik grew up skateboarding and music is an integral part of both our lives, the shop is heavily influenced by these cultures. While the vibe is young and fun, our atmosphere is nostalgic and comfortable, and we want everyone to feel at home here. We're stoked you ended up on our website, but would love if you visited us in person too! We hope you'll keep following along and check back often for updates.Read More
