About Mockbeggar

Mockbeggar Ltd was founded in 1996 when Peter and Simon Brice along with local Kent growers and a Scottish grower decided to form a collaborative soft fruit group with the aims of delivering a consistently high quality of product whilst ensuring optimum returns for members and gain market share through product knowledge and quality. Peter and Simon have since retired but the aims of the organization remain the same today with the membership continuously growing . Mockbeggar currently has 10 members whose product ranges are as follows: Strawberries Raspberries Blackberries Cherries Plums Rhubarb The members are now based in the South East, South West, East Midlands and Yorkshire. We produce soft fruit crops under glasshouse, in tunnels, on table tops and in the ground. We are growing the most current and innovative varieties to maximize the UK soft fruit season from April through to November. Mockbeggar is the largest group supplying rhubarb both forced and main crop. Mockbeggar currently supplies a wide customer base ranging from retail to wholesale and our marketing centered on product expertise with attention to the demands of the current consumers of our products whilst remaining at the forefront of varietal and technical developments for the future. Our head office is located where the original office was formed at Mockbeggar Farm in Kent. All sites are BRC accredited, have assured produce and we pride ourselves on Ethical trading and sustainable production systems, we fully support red tractor.
