Read his story After discovering the significant number of homeless youth living in Loudoun County, Donna Fortier started Mobile Hope in 2011 as a special project at Inova Loudoun Hospital. Donna began dis... tributing clothing, food and hygiene items to youth in need on the hospitals mobile bus. Mobile Hope broke away from Inova and became an independent 501(c)3 organization in 2012, missioned to serve homeless and at-risk youth up to age 24. Mobile Hope provides services without restrictive policies and excessive red tape. We ensure our eligibility process is straightforward and does not serve as a barrier to services. We meet each kid where they are, regardless of barriers, issues and traumas. We believe every youth has unrealized potential, and we are honored to stand with our kids on their journey from homelessness to self-sufficiency. Mobile Hope provides a non-judgmental and non-discriminatory environment where youth develop a sense of purpose and community. We provide intense and individualized case management to address the issues that led to homelessness. We believe in helping youth become leaders through providing volunteer opportunities in our bus outreach program, Listen for the Honk, organic peer to peer experiences as well as in our on-site thrift shop and retail training center, Threads of Hope.Read More
