About Mizzou

Kappa Alpha Theta, the first Greek-letter womens fraternity, was founded to support collegiate women in the early days of coeducation. Today, Theta continues to empower its members and enrich their college experience through commitment to scholarship, sisterhood, service, and personal excellence. At the Alpha Mu chapter, we exemplify these values every day. We encourage our members to learn, develop, and excel through leadership and sisterhood, whether it is on campus, in the classroom, or in the community. Thetas can be found in many corners of campus. Our members are involved in organizations such as Tour Team, Summer Welcome, Outreach, Student Ministries, MizzouThon, Alumni Association Student Board, Mizzou Alternative Breaks, Mizzou for Malawi, Mizzou Student Foundation, along with many other groups in different academic disciplines. We also have members leading committees for campus wide events such as Homecoming, Greek Week, Rockin Against Multiple Sclerosis, and Caring for ColumRead more

We are very proud to have members annually recognized by the most prestigious groups on campus such as Mizzou 39, Omicron Delta Kappa, Mystical Seven, and Mortar Board. In the fall, Theta hosts an annual flag football tournament during our philanthropy week as well as a pancake brunch. In the spring, we host Capture the Kite, a co-ed tournament, and CASA Carnival, a late night carnival themed dinner at our home. This past year, our chapter raised over $14,500 for CASA, a court appointed guardian program internationally sponsored by Kappa Alpha Theta, and the Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation. With the great passion and imagination of each our members, we hope to achieve even more in the upcoming years. Besides our internal philanthropy benefitting CASA, Theta also participates in community and Greek-sponsored philanthropies.
