About Minnesota Squash Association

The Minnesota Squash Association ("MSA") is a Minnesota non-profit corporation and is a an affiliate of US Squash, a IRC 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The MSA's mission is to increase participation in squash, to enrich the experiences of our members of all ages, and to build awareness of the sport, while supporting excellence, professionalism and fiscal responsibility. The growth of squash in Minnesota is our primary goal. Our vision is for all people to have the opportunity to enhance their health and well-being through the sport of squash. The MSA is administered by a volunteer board of directors nominated and elected by the MSA's members. The board meets as needed, and while members may attend board meetings upon request, an attempt will be made to have abbreviated minutes of those meetings available on the MSA website and updated in a timely fashion. The board meets as needed, and while members may attend board meetings upon request, an attempt will be made to have abbreviated minutes of those meetings available on the MSA website and updated in a timely fashion. There are also opportunities for squash enthusiast who want to help out on our committees. Committees are established by the board and reports to the board but focus their attention on one particular even or matter. Current committees include: State Championships Tournament committee Juniors committee Communications committee City League committee Membership in the MSA is by an annual fee paid to US Squash. Members receive a variety of benefits including but not limited to discounted fees for tournaments, clinics and gear, inter-club play through local programming, rankings; a subscription to Squash Magazine; and a voice in the future of the game. MSA members are also members of the US Squash and are entitled to all of its benefits. The MSA values initiatives by organizations and by individuals that are sustainable and/or replicable. To that end the MSA annually earmarks a portion of its revenues to programming. Grants and donations are reviewed and disbursed on a regular basis.Read More
