Mine Shield, LLC was established in 2008 based on a desire to make a difference in the safety equipment industry. Early on, founding member and CEO, Connie Hendren was approached by the Kentucky Mine Safety Director. He stated that the federal government was going to mandate safer refuge chambers for mines in the oncoming 2009 year. This stood out... to Mr. Hendren as an opportunity to let his passion fuel a product that would save lives, and soon after, the Guardian Refuge Chamber emerged onto the market. Mine Shield, LLC's chamber production team, located in Lancaster, KY, is a group of gifted individuals that from product design to final assembly, prides themselves on excellence. These skilled employees create chambers that are leak proof, explosion proof, and fire proof all of which aims toward providing the customer with a high quality product.
