Mindy's

Started in 1974, Mindy's has served the needs of stitchers in the Pacific Northwest, across the United States and beyond for more than 40 years. Located on the second floor of the 5th Street Public Market, Mindy's is a mecca for needlework enthusiasts. Not just for needlepoint, but supplies for cross stitch, embroidery, crochet, tatting, felting an... d ribbon art, in a huge variety of color and materials. Mindy's also carries one of the largest selections of buttons, ribbons, and trims on the west coast, to the delight of knitters and garment makers in the area. Mindy Patterson, owner, began designing unique hand-painted needlepoint canvases in the early 1970's, and has developed a following of enthusiastic fans of her designs over the years. Mindy's designs cover an entire wall of the shop, and amaze visitors and fans alike at the variety and quality of her work. Mindy can be found most days at the shop, painting canvases and sharing her extensive knowledge and ideas with customers. Over the years, Mindy has expanded her inventory to include boutique "art to wear" clothing. These clothes are colorful and styled "outside of the box" than most clothing lines. Mindy has the knack to find very unusual styles and accessories to accent her unique taste in clothing. Our wall of socks is also a show stopper. Our large selection includes needlepoint canvasses and kits, with all the special fibers and wools needed. We also carry large lines of cross stitch materials, tatting, crochet thread, embroidery and crewel, hardanger, embroidery and many other needlework supplies.
