Mindful Beginnings

Lindsay Karr, M.Ed., founded Mindful Beginnings in an effort to share the powerful impact of mindfulness with her students, colleagues, family, and friends. In 2006, Lindsay began her career teaching high school English in Fairfax County, Virginia. For over 14 years, she has been working with students of all ages to help them learn about the benefi... ts of mindfulness. In addition to helping students, Lindsay also facilitates mindfulness workshops for teachers and parents. Most recently, Lindsay led a mindfulness program for military families in Ft. Belvoir, Virginia. Lindsay received her undergraduate degree in English Education from Boston University and Master's degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Virginia. She completed mindfulness for educators training with Mindful Schools and is currently enrolled in a School Administration and Supervision graduate program at Johns Hopkins School of Education. As a mother, wife, teacher, and friend, Lindsay invokes mindfulness in various environments and enjoys sharing the practice with others.
