We are a 4 part community choir who has entertained audiences in Halton Region and beyond for more than 47 years. Our season runs from September to June. With approximately 40 members, we perform 2 concerts annually, often including premium guest soloists and musicians. We are committed to our community and enjoy performing at numerous local events especially at Christmastime, at Milton District Hospital, the United Way's Christmas House Tour, Troy's Toy Drive and downtown caroling and caroling at seniors' residences and nursing homes. Our wide ranging musical repertoire includes classical, contemporary, sacred and secular. From Bach and Rachmaninoff to Elvis and Abba - we do it all! Rehearsals are Tuesdays 7:30 - 9:30 pm from September to June, at Knox Presbyterian Church, 170 Main St E, Milton. A love of singing, some sight reading and a sense of rhythm, as well as a sense of humour, are definite assets! The choir is dedicated to helping expand each person's musical ability, however, members are also encouraged to spend time outside rehearsals to learn the music. Electronic midi files and sectional rehearsals are available for your assistance. The choir is administered by a volunteer executive board which is elected annually. We rely on the expertise and talents of our entire membership to make each season successful. To cover our costs for our Artistic Director and Accompanist as well as our rehearsal and performance venues and purchase of new music, each member pays a seasonal fee of $250. We are a registered not for profit charity so tax receipts are issued for fees paid. Fees are payable in installments. This year, in preparation for our 50th Anniversary, we are offering new members a first time member fee of $150.00 for the season.
