Midwest Mountaineering sponsors a Venturing Crew. Venturing's purpose is to provide positive experiences to help young people mature and to prepare them to become responsible and caring adults. Venturing is a co-ed youth development program of the Boy Scouts of America for young adults who have completed 8th grade and are under 21 years of age. Ven... turing is a co-ed program to give youth a chance to have fun outdoor adventures, learn outdoor skills and develop a passion for the outdoors. The Venturing Crew follows Midwest Mountaineering's lead - non-political, non-religious and non-discriminatory. Midwest Mountaineering is ideally suited to sponsor a Venturing Crew because the company has the expertise and passion to guide and teach the youth. The company has kayaks, canoes, and stand up paddleboards to paddle. The company can facilitate discounts on group equipment. The company creates fund-raising opportunities for the Crew such as making popcorn at the Expos and the company is centrally located with meeting space for the Crew.
