Midtown Restaurant

This place is excellent. This is my first review, it was so good I had to write a note. I never like diners. The food is always painfully mediocre. Just good enough to be edible. This place is really delicious. Fresh, well made, not too salty. All of it is good. So far I have had the matzo ball soup it is now my fave, the chicken souvlaki is awesom... e the pita is wonderful and chicken is seasoned very nicely yogurt sauce YUMM, and the fries are REALLY good. I recommend it ! For the last three years, this has been my go to spot. Not only are the wraps, sandwiches and sides delicious: but, they have never exceeded 30 minutes in terms of delivery time. More often than not, they would be ringing on my doorbell 15 minutes after I placed the order. Went to dine in once to see how legitimate the place was. I was extremely impressed by the cleanliness. Its more of a restaurant, when I had it pegged as a deli...GO HERE, YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED No matter what I'm in the mood for Midtown Restaurant is able to fill the order. Besides the regular menu, they have wonderful specials. On the light side, the salads are wonderful as is the chicken souvlaki. The spinach pie is filling and delicious. My son loves the ravioli, particularly with Alfredo sauce. And for a good old fashioned burger, this is the place to go. Great price, great porportions, fast delivery! Got the cheeseburger and disco fries. Never had either but tried both due to the good ratings, and to my surprise it was well worth it. You HAVE to try these fries if you hadn't already..and the cheeseburger is a HUGE burger. Could barely finish it. I will definately order from them again. So far, I've yet to be disappointed by this place. They are a considerably far distance from my location, near penn station, and still seem to get here in good time. The food is pretty good, the portions are substantial, and in general REALY tasty. The Fajita Panini is my favorite so far. Don't be nervous, give these guys a shot!Read More
