Jason Miars is a second generation builder. He grew up in the industry working for and then later alongside his father while going to school at the University of Texas. Shortly after college Jason started a speculative home building company while continuing to work for his father as a framer on custom home building projects. In 2003 Jason joined in... to form the current partnership with Johnny of Miars Construction. He enjoys working closely with the clients and designers in order to achieve the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. Johnny came to Austin in the 1970s in order to go to architecture school at the University of Texas. While going to school he began working as a framing contractor in order to better understand the building process. He quickly realized that working outside actually building the homes was what he was meant to do, so he formed Miars Construction in 1978. Ever since its beginning he has been focused on providing his clients with the highest level of quality and craftsmanship. Most days you can find him working in the field bringing his 30+ years of hands on experience to the project. Jamie, a native Austinite, began his career in the building trade business as a house framer in 1976. He joined up with Johnny when he ventured into the house framing business in 1977, forming a relationship that has spanned 36 years.
