About Metromodels
We have been in business for nearly 20 years. We have provided London Underground train models & accessories to over 3000 customers around the globe from Russia to New Zealand, Japan to Austria! Metromodels is owned by John Polley, an experienced railway modeller since childhood, with a particular interest in the London Underground system. John formed Metromodels as a result of having struggled to find London Underground 'tube' train models for his first London Underground exhibition model railway layout, 'Mill Ridge'. For those not familiar with '00' scale, this is a popular scale within the UK. Models are built to a scale of 4mm to 1 foot. In the rest of the world 'HO' scale is more common, being built to a scale of 3.5mm to 1 foot. Both '00' & 'HO' scale trains operate on the same track.
