Metro Nashville Public Schools has been granted total of $425 million in federal funding to support pandemic recovery efforts. Since Tennessee is considered a reimbursement state, MNPS must spend local funds first and then be reimbursed by the federal government. MNPS has received three rounds of COVID funding. The first round $26 million, the second round $123 million, and the most recent round $276 million.
