Starting out with just a couple of manual mills and lathes, Metro Machine Works, Inc. catered mostly to the maintenance industry from the beginning before slowly branching out into CNC mills and lathes and then into metal cutting and fabrication until finally becoming the one-stop job shop it is today. Starting with the maintenance industry we were... able to do custom repair work for various local industries that before had no one they could turn to when machines broke down and left them unproductive for days waiting on factory parts to arrive from outside the region. Once the local industries began to rely on us more and more, a need to add CNC Mills & Lathes became apparent. These CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines gave us a way to add to our capabilities as well as become more efficient at the custom repair work we were already doing. Metro Machine Works, Inc. continued to add to its capabilities over time as the market demanded. When it became obvious that we needed to venture into metal cutting, forming, and fabrication we expanded our capacity again by adding those services. With the addition of the burn table, plasma, shear, saws, welding equipment, and finally the waterjet it allowed for us to take on larger production orders as well as the ability to do custom fabrication jobs. We have continued and will continue to expand our capabilities to ensure we are able to assist our customers, whether big or small, to meet their metal machining & finishing, cutting, welding and fabrication needs.
