In January of 2009, Robert Day, our co-founder and managing partner, decided it was time to walk away from a lucrative 11-year career as a successful commercial banking executive. He had specialized in merchant processing and, more specifically, interchange management and had been honored with the prestigious Presidents Leadership Award just 13 mon... ths before. It was a time when life was good and he did not have a care in the world; he was at the top of his game. There was, however, one problem. The economy was collapsing.
