JDM Services, Inc/Melvin Enterprises is located in Bastian, Virginia an is locally owned by John D. Melvin. JDM has more than 30 years experience in the construction industry. JDM does paving, excavating, snow removal services and property management. We also provide maintenance to a local pharmaceutical company inside their high security compound.... We have several employees who are VDOT certified for paving, concrete, soil compaction, traffic control, VDOT & VTCA Erosion, Sediment Control Contractor Certificiation Course, Nuclear Gauge and on site Drug Screen Collection. Melvin Enterprise hase more than ten years experince in refuse removal. Currently, we are in our fourth contract term with Bland County for door-to-door trash removal. We are in our second contract term with the Department of Corrections- Bland Facility. Melvin Enterprise is also providing refuse removal services for the newly built Pocahontas Correctional Faciltiy. Approximately, five years ago JDM Services was awarded five rest areas in the Bristol District and more recently VDOT awarded JDM Services three additional rest areas which included New Kent West Bound (LEED Green Certified Building), New Kent East Bound Gateway Welcome Center and Rest Area, and on the Eastern Shore,New Church Welcome Center and Rest Area. JDM has partnered with Jan-Pak to supply all rest areas with enviromentally friendly cleaning products, recycled paper products to make our employees work area safe. On site recycling can be found at both rest areas in New Kent, Virignia. JDM Services, Inc/Melvin Enterprises are both certified Small Businesses in the Commonwealth of Virginia and currently have several contracts from the state in variety of aspects.
