Melissa Guzik

Melissa is a Registered Provisional Psychologist who provides individual, couple, family, and group counselling . Melissa works to instill hope in the people she works with, and works collaboratively with her clients to help them achieve their goals. Melissa has a Masters of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology from McGill University. She also has... a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, Sociology, and Behavioural Science from McGill University. Melissa was licensed as a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) through the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association for 14 years before becoming a Registered Provisional Psychologist. Melissa has worked within addictions and mental health for over 15 years, working with adolescents , adults , and families . Melissa is also an experienced FOCCUS, REFOCCUS, and Prepare-Enrich Facilitator working with couples before and after they are married to foster open communication in all areas of their relationships. Melissa has served different parishes and the Archdiocese of Edmonton in assisting couples prepare for marriage. Melissa is also a clinician with Holy Family Counseling Services. She was the founding President of the Catholic Psychotherapy Association of Canada . Melissa is fluent in French. Melissa has provided seminars and presentations on a variety of topics including addictions, grief, emotions, family life, self-care, and healthy boundaries.
