The Meikle Files is a vehicle for human performance research. Every year across a wide variety of endeavours The Meikle Files carefully selects and undertakes a limited number of performance projects. At the core of our primary research materials are one-on-one interviews with some of the worlds pre-eminent leaders, thinkers, scientists, business i... dentities and sports people as well as Nobel laureates, Samurai Masters and military leaders. For over 25 years this research has developed and evolved to include not only individual high achievers but also high performance environments those places or events where the very best are stretched to their limits. Andy Meikles professional career started in 1988 when he was one of only 12 contracted elite endurance athletes in the original Uncle Tobys Ironman Series. Whilst he enjoyed considerable success as an Ironman, the podium proved mostly elusive and so began his ongoing pursuit to unearth the elements of human high performance and to understand the environmental conditions necessary to achieve these standards. Andys competition in the Ironman world was the catalyst of his research, focussing specifically on those consistently winning medals. This research naturally evolved to include the study of high achievers from the fields of academia, business, science, the arts, politics, military, and faith & religion; it includes such people as Everest mountaineer - Sir Edmund Hilary, leader - Nelson Mandela, evolutionary biologist - Dr Richard Dawkins, Japanese samurai master - Nishioka Sensei, world champion surfer - Layne Beachley, leadership & change author - Professor John Kotter, Nobel Peace laureate - Dr Shirin Ebadi, and leading legal and business figures and CEOs including David Gonski, Michael Kirby and Gordon Cairns.
