The primary business then was technical products for the agriculture, horticulture and food industry. To be closer to our trusted customers and shorten the delivery lines, Bosta branc... hed out to different locations within The Netherlands and, with the take-over of German based Bevo, to other countries in Northern-Europe. The acquisition of Bosta UK allowed the Group to grow its business in the UK and Ireland. In 1989, Royal TenCate bought MegaGroup, implying a further step in expansion and professionalisation of the Group. After a change in strategy TenCate sold the company in 2006 to the management team. The contemporary MegaGroup Trade Holding name was formed after the buyout in 2005. It stands as an umbrella over the 7 companies constituting our business. In 2010, a private equity company obtained the shares and the company has been in the hands of private investors ever since. The construction of our energy efficient European Distribution Center in 2013 marked a new area in efficient supply logistics, allowing us to reach all corners of our markets within 48 hours and very often even faster.
