Mega Fluids

Mega Fluids was founded by Don Carson and Robert Smith in the mid 1980's. Mega Distributors was formed as an East Texas distributor to Federal Wholesale, a division of MI Drilling Fluids. Years following, Sunwest Mud Company purchased Mega Distributors as a wholesale entity. Still hungry for success, both gentlemen created a liquid mud and vacuum t... ruck service until their non-compete clause expired in 1997. In 1998, Mega Fluids was introduced as a retail and wholesale drilling fluids company operating primarily in East Texas. In 2005, Brian Amburn joined the team, as SAC Mud Company Inc. was initiated as a subsidiary company within Mega Fluids, until both companies combined in 2008. Market share quickly increased with this merger, and Mega Fluids expanded its service areas into Louisiana and South Texas. As Mega Fluids continued to grow at a rapid pace, the Mid-Continent became a significant area of interest to further expand its operations. In 2011, Mega Fluids entered into the Gulf Coast market and quickly recruited the highly respected Kevin Guillory and Chad Farris to oversee the Mega Gulf Coast operation. Kevin and Chad's knowledge and experience in the industry has served as an incredible asset to the Mega group. Currently, Mega Fluids has the capabilities to service Oklahoma, East Texas, South Texas, and Louisiana, especially the Gulf Coast, with our fluids products and service.
