Medical Students' Association of Rwanda (MEDSAR) is an independent, non-governmental and non-political organization of medical students of Rwanda . t was founded in 1997 and is run for and by medical students on a non-profit basis. It is officially recognized by the National University of Rwanda as a non-governmental students' organization (NGO). M... EDSAR works within The School of Medicine and Pharmacy which provides technical support needed. The Dean of this School is among the patrons of MEDSAR. MEDSAR works under URSU (University of Rwanda Students Union) which is a general association of students at the University of Rwanda. MEDSAR is a member of the International Federation of Medical Students Association (IFMSA) since 2002. In order to achieve its objectives; MEDSAR has six Standing Committees through which all the activities are carried out: Standing Committee on Public Health (SCOPH) Standing Committee on Reproductive Health and AIDS (SCORA) Standing Committee on Human Rights and Peace (SCOHRP) Standing Committee on Professional exchange (SCOPE) Standing Committee on Medical education (SCOME) Standing Committee on Research exchange (SCORE).
