Medical Student

Medical Student is a free newspaper for all of London's 10,000+ medical students. Named Small Budget Publication of the Year at the 2005 National Student Journalism Awards and runner-up at the 2006 awards, it comes out every month and is distributed to major sites at all five London medical schools. The paper was started in February 2004 as a means... for the medics in London to keep abreast of the key issues affecting medics, as well as what's going on with the other four medschools, but it has grown into a great deal more. Medical Student's unique boast amongst ALL large-scale medical publications is that it is the only one run and written entirely by medical students. Whereas some student medical journals have full time staff and a legion of doctors writing for them, MS's team of writers, photographers, editors and cartoonists are all IN medical school.
