Medical Image Processing Research Group

The main focus of MIPRG is to conduct impactful research which would meet the national and global challenges in the field of Medical Imaging; in particular Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). MIPRG received national and international recognition in a short span of time. It is heartening that nine (9) PhD scholars have successfully completed their PhD... 's from MIPRG so far and many more are undergoing their PhD research in the state-of-the art areas of MRI. More than 20 Graduate students have completed their MS Thesis and more than 50 UG students of ECE Department have completed their Final Year Projects (FYP's) in various cutting-edge areas of MRI at MIPRG. It is also a pleasure to note that the MIPRG alumni now serve prestigious national and international organizations/universities with excellent employability prospects. We at CUI envision a better world enabled through application of Medical Imaging to healthcare challenges and addressing constraints of limited human resource in Diagnostics with low-cost applications of modern technology. I am pleased to note that MIPRG has an excellent track record of publishing their research works in highly reputed international journals and conferences. MIPRG researchers have published more than 150 research articles (in international journals and conferences of high repute) to date. Furthermore, four inventions of MIPRG in the field of MRI have been granted International Patents by United States Patent & Trademark Office (USTPO).
