MedEast Solutions, in addition to being a provider of numerous GSA products, has developed multiple partner programs with national equipment manufacturers, local hospitals, emergency rooms, urgent cares and orthopedic outpatient clinics. These partnership programs provide real time service combined with quality product to patients in need of orthopedic devices, while delivering millions of dollars in savings to partner institutions. Mr. Nowak began serving his country in 1983, as a proud member of the United States Marine Corps. In 1987, while serving as an infantry squad leader, he lost his right leg to friendly fire during a routine training exercise. Mr. Nowak was introduced to adaptive sports during his rehabilitation. He joined the VA in 1993 as a Prosthetic Representative trainee at the West Roxbury, Mass. VA Medical Center. By 1999, he was prosthetic manager for a network of 10 VA medical centers, overseeing a $92 million budget and the prosthetic operations in several surrounding states. Mr. Nowak also spent over a year as Acting Associate Director at the Wilmington VA Medical Center and was responsible for the facilities day-to- day operations.
