On September 19, MEAB co-sponsored the 2nd edition of the European Union-Middle East and North Africa Private Sector Dialogue (EU-MENA PSD) held at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), headquartered in Paris, France. Mr. Ali Hejeij, Mr. Vincent Nabih Haddad and Mr. Ali Abbas, MEAB's Chairman, General Manager and Assist... ant General Manager, respectively, participated in the conference and took part in discussions on de-risking and the importance of Common Reporting Standards (CRS). As announced by the Union of Arab Banks (UAB), this EU-MENA PSD initiative was called to focus on the automatic exchange of financial account information and de-risking, and its impact on EU-Arab relations. MEAB has been a proud partner of the UAB since 1991. With more than 330 members, the Union is the largest banking and financial consortium in the Arab region.
