MDK Management

We are a small Regina based business, providing exceptional accounting and financial services for local business and residential clients. MDK, founded in 1982, has been involved in the accounting, book keeping, and taxes (GST returns, payroll, CRA income slips, correspondence with CRA) for both personal and small business clients. Ed Stewart starte... d MDK in his home. The operating name of MDK came from the pre-computer days when Ed would get the family to help; Mom, Dad and Kids. As time moved on, MDK moved on and it went from Ed's acreage near Edenwald, to Balgonie and finally to Regina. It's first location was in the Pakwa Park Mall, and has now moved to our present location on McAra Street. In 2010, Pete Helfrick came to work full time at MDK. His accounting education was from the University of Regina, and in 2008 he received his Certified Management Accountant accreditation. Pete had worked previously for the Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region in the finance department, and then with the provincial government in the Ministry of Education Finance. His entrepreneur spirit and his desire to work intimately with clients was the motivation for Pete's move to MDK. Six months following Pete's start at MDK, Ed suffered some medical setbacks and Pete was thrust to the forefront of MDK. Pete was able to take over the duties of Ed, including running the business. Ed trusted Pete to maintain and help his current client base with loyalty and trust and was pleased to sell MDK to him in 2015.
