A frequent national speaker on the topics of instructional leadership, professional conversation, and teacher learning, Candi works extensively with school leadership teams to enhance their skills in classroom observation, collegial conversation, and professional learning. Candi is the author of You Dont Have to Be Bad to Get Better! A Leaders Guide to Improving Teacher Quality (Corwin, 2013) and co-author of the book, Implementing the Framework for Teaching, An ASCD Action Tool (ASCD, 2009). Jan is an educator with over 35 years of experience as a teacher, secondary administrator and Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction at Webster Central School District, Webster, New York. As an Assistant Superintendent, Jan collaboratively supported the implementation of the Framework for Teaching, as well as the Common Core Learning Standards. Jan designs and presents professional learning for teachers and administrators on a variety of topics, including the integration of the Common Core Instruction and teacher effectiveness. Jan has received awards as both teacher and administrator for educational excellence. Carolyn is a dynamic educator with over 28 years of instructional, organizational, and professional learning leadership experience, serving as an elementary educator, enrichment specialist, grant author, new educator/mentor coordinator and director of professional learning.
