Custom designs are available which can include UL listing, specialized tuning, and expandable modular systems. The voltage ratings include 208V, 240V, 480V, and 600V. Medium and high voltage PFC capacitors and harmonic filters are also available in both fixed and automatic configurations. McGill Power Sales & Engineering will specify, design, engineer, and build PFC capacitor and harmonic filter systems. The units are built per system requirements and can include ground switches, air/fused disconnects, keyed interlock schemes, tuned/detuned reactors, vacuum contactors, and NEMA 3R ratings. Powerohm Resistors - Manufacturer of smoothwound, wirewound, edgewound, grid, and ribbon power resistors. Designs can range from a standard 50 watt dynamic braking resistor to a custom loadbank rated in the thousands of kilowatts. Primary resistor applications include low resistance and high resistance neutral grounding, dynamic braking for variable speed motor drives, loadbanks for generator and transformer testing, and speed control for DC motors and AC wound rotor motors.
