Prior to that our founder had been working in the industry since 1983. Starting as an apprentice carpenter, he worked his way thru the company to become a site manager. A position he held with pride for over 7 years, aiding the company with a turnover of approximately half a million pound per annum. Deciciding in 1996, to 'Go it alone' he started u... p as Stewart May Builders, working alone carrying out whatever tasks he could find. The work and contracts grew, so taking on more labour as required. Joining NHBC in 2004, as a registered builder, new build work accumulated. Contract sizes determined becomming a Limted Company in 2005, so May Homes Ltd was formed. We have carried on working on all sizes and types of construction, keeping good contacts and working continually for various clients and architects, being passed on to new contacts by 'word of mouth' is our preferred advert. Even during the latest turbulent recession period, we have maintained a steady flow of work and currently we look to grow in size by advancing into Development of our own sites. TeamRead More
