He has managed projects, done research and worked with companies in a variety of industries to improve their marketing efforts, sales performance and management processes. After graduation from Bowdoin College with a BA in English, Bob worked as Purchasing Manager and then as Director of Marketing & Operations for Bicknell, Inc., a swimming pool an... d hot tub distributor. He led their management team for nine years when the company tripled sales, increased profits six-fold, and grew from 3 to 10 branches selling to pool/spa retailers, builders and service companies throughout the northeastern United States. Bob serves on the Association of Pool and Spa Professionals, Region IX Board of Directors. He is Chairman of the APSP Region IX Design Awards Competition and has served on the education committee for Sales & Marketing Executives International. He has been advisor, coach and project manager to a variety of small, mid-size and large corporations. In addition to his years in swimming pool and hot tub industry, Bob has also undertaken projects for clients in a variety of industries, including industrial fabrics, landscaping, technology, landfill management, exhibit/booth development, CD-ROM presentations, construction and car/vehicle washing. In 2002, Bob co-founded Pointed Marketing, an advertising agency that offers an integrated approach to maximize the total marketing efforts of clients.
