Back in 1984 when Matrix Institute on Addictions first opened its doors to patients, no one could have imagined the significant impact we would make in the years ahead. Today, were marking 30 years of important milestones in the field of substance abuse treatment always with an eye toward the next groundbreaking contributions, we can make in the decades ahead. Importantly, Matrix is celebrating the thousands of lives saved both literally and figuratively, relationships restored and purpose reclaimed through our innovative treatment model, which is recognized as one of the most effective, evidence-based outpatient alcohol and substance abuse treatment programs in the world. The Matrix Model Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program includes several key components that complement each other and combine to produce an integrated outpatient treatment experience that works. Among its many accolades, the Matrix Model has been acknowledged by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) as an effective and scientifically based approach.
