Miles and Mark Kiefer, a son-father duo, are passionate about eating delicious, healthy foods. Based in Greeley, Colorado, the Kiefers want to help the modern consumer go back to the basics of food preparation, but they realize that most of us just dont have time to do all that chopping. MILES KIEFER, CEO and Chef Miles is creative force behind Mas... on Jar Meals and not only runs the business but also heads up the recipe development. Miles has been in the food manufacturing business 10+ years, developing new products, setting up production lines and managing production facilities are a few highlights. While living in Tennessee, he shared a townhouse with two other members (Chris and Geoff) of the management team, the three of them were spending $25+ each a day eating out. Working the long hours at the plant provided little time to cook and prepare meals, so Miles started perfecting a meal that was delicious, healthy and convenient for people with busy lives. The result is what we call Souper Soup (originally Slop). Miles sent a few jars back to his parents Mark and Mindy in Colorado, they loved the concept of Hearty/Healthy/Handy meals in Mason Jars. A few months later Miles moved back to Colorado to fully focus on the development of the company. MARK KIEFER COO - Mark owned a successful bakery business for 12 years that sent indulgent sweet treats across the country. He acquired excellent contacts in the food and packaging industry, and developed a deep understanding of safe food production. But Mark became fed-up with the corporate America food industry that is allowed to dump sugar, preservatives and even toxic chemicals into processed food and label it healthy.
