About Mark Ryken
Ryken Consulting, Inc. is a family business comprised of myself, Mark Ryken, and my wife. Ive worked in some form of IT since I was in college. Ive managed Solaris, AIX and Tru64 (think Digital Unix) systems, Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 95 all the way through to Windows Server 2012 R2 and Windows 10. My personal favorite is actually Mac OS X, which Ive used since 10.0, but most of my work is in Windows. Several years ago when my kids were born I decided resign my position as a Systems Administrator and focus on being a stay-at-home dad. I gave six months notice so that projects could be finished up and the brain trust smoothly handed over to my successor. Almost immediately following my departure, I was contacted by my former employer and colleagues to consult on new projects.
