Mark Chiu

Dr. Mark Chiu received his Bachelor's of Science and Doctor of Medicine from the University of Toronto. He completed his postgraduate orthopaedic residency training at the University of Toronto and additional fellowship training in joint replacements and trauma at the St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto. Dr. Chiu specializes in joint replacements, in... cluding hip and knee replacements, unicompartmental knee replacements, and revisions of failed replacements, as well as sports medicine, including minimally invasive ACL reconstruction, meniscal repair, cartilage transplantation, knee arthroscopy, arthroscopic rotator cuff repair, and labral repairs. Dr. Chiu is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of British Columbia. He has also previously instructed medical students at the University of Toronto and helped create exams to test foreign-trained physicians. Dr. Chiu works primarily at the Langley Memorial Hospital and periodically at the Delta Hospital and the Pattison Outpatient Centre. He also performs private surgery at the Langley Surgical Centre. Dr. Chiu is involved in research and has won awards including the International Society for Computer Aided Surgery Best Paper Award in Germany.
