About Mariner Magazine

The Mariner is a local Marina del Rey boating magazine created for the purposes of keeping the local boating community connected. It reports on interesting events and extraordinary people, advertises local tradesmen, photographs/reports on the racing scene, speaks of practical matters and provides a classified section as well. It was started in 2003 by Pat Reynolds and named after a short-lived boating magazine by the same name that his father published in New York. The format was based on the long running "Dinghy" newsmagazine started in the 1960s by Darien Murray. Like Murray, Reynolds writes, photographs, designs and distributes this local magazine that has a circulation of about 5000 issues. Since its inception the Mariner has doubled in size and is proud to be Marina del Rey's prominant source for local boating news.Explore more
