About Marine Propulsion

Marine Propulsion was started in 1993 by Anthony and Susie Black. They relocated to the Charleston area from the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Anthony's father, Colin, was an engineer for Cummins Marine and lived in the area. Initially the business was strictly a mobile diesel mechanic business that operated out of the garage of their home. After a couple of years and an increase in business and employees, the business found a home at Adams Creek Marine on Wadmalaw Island. In 2000 Anthony and Susie were able to purchase the boatyard. Since 2000 they have run a successful boatyard and mobile marine business. Keeping it family run, their son Josh has recently joined the crew and participates in the daily running of the business.Explore more
