Marine Electronics Ltd. was established in Guernsey, one of the Channel Islands, in 1983 to design and manufacture sonar and acoustic products for the offshore oil and gas industry. Over the years the company has diversified into other areas using its skills in electronic and acoustic design for the medical industry, the water industry, the mining... industry, Customs and The Ministry of Defence. The company operates a quality assurance system to ISO 9001 2000 to ensure customer satisfaction. Housed in a 5000 square foot industrial unit split into offices, electronic production, machine shop and acoustic test area, allows for all processes from design through to final test to be performed. Marine Electronics Ltd. also supports a sales office based in the UK on the South Coast near Portsmouth. All design and manufacturing is carried out in Guernsey, with the UK Office performing sales, marketing and customer support. The company is operated by it's three owners / working Directors and as such is self funded. A flexible team of engineers covering acoustic, electronic, software and mechanical design support the Directors to maintain the company's design potential.
