Mardee Kidd and Val Kidd decided to open a small food store in Lodi, California. They would call it Mar-Val Food Stores. The company grew to four stores and 180 employees. Over the years a second generation would start to work in the company, which grew successfully to employ over 300 folks, covering six stores in the unique country towns of Clements, Escalon, Georgetown, Groveland, Prather and Valley Springs. Many changes over the years where made to allow the company to arrive at the point the company is today. The company is truly excited about the company's company and its growth.
