These aims are intended to: - create a safe environment in which children can succeed in all aspects of school life and where excellence and achievement are expected, praised and publicised. - develop caring relationships between all members of the school community which are based upon respect and consideration. - provide children with the necessary skills to enable them to become articulate, literate and numerate and to afford them their full entitlement within and beyond the National Curriculum. - involve each person as an important and valued member of the school community, whilst recognising their individuality. - offer each person the opportunity to develop their interests and broaden their experiences. - involve the school actively in the local community. - assist the children in their development into versatile capable and caring people. - acknowledge the contribution of parents, families and carers in the education and development of children and to promote a partnership approach towards this.
