Malmo Martial Arts is the only school in Arkansas licensed to represent the International Philippine Martial Arts Federation (IPMAF) and the arts of Kombatan, Mano Mano, and Dumog as taught by Grandmaster Ernesto Amador Presas. John R. Malmo holds the title Grandmaster and the rank of Lakan Walo (8th Degree Black Belt) in Kombatan under GGM Ernesto... A. Presas. He represents IPMAF as Arkansas Chief Instructor and as acting Chief Instructor of the Midwest. Any individuals other than Mr. Malmo, or those authorized by him, claiming to teach Kombatan in Arkansas are not recognized or certified instructors. Malmo Martial Arts specializes in close quarter combat. Our initial emphasis is on realistic and effective self-defense. We cover all ranges of conflict from weapons to ground fighting; enabling students to effortlessly blend and flow from one range to another.
