MAKS Aviation was established in 1975 as the first privately owned ground handling company at Khartoum Airport . MAKS initially handled all of British Airways flights through Khartoum Airport . Two years after its establishment , MAKS expanded its services and began handling other European and international airlines including Swissair , KLM, Kenya... Airways , Iberia, Kuwait Airways , Gulf Air , Qatar Airways , BMI, Bahrain Air, Eritrean Airlines and Syrian Airlines .
