With a high sensitivity to the customer's need and budget, Makiga offers almost 30 years of combined technical design and application of bulk process equipment. All blocks are tested for strength and durability by the Kenya Bureau of Standards and the University of Bath, UK; results show that ISSBs made with Makiga machines are 82% stronger than a clay-fired brick. Not withstanding the proven material advantages of ISSB over other conventional building blocks, without a firing process ISSB can also offer positive environmental benefits. The curing process does not contribute in anyway to carbon emissions or deforestation.
