Magna Prime Packaging Corporation (MPPC) is engaged in the business of blending and packing of powder milk products in bag-in-box (BIB) and stand-up pouch (SUP) formats and other similar powder products such as coffee creamer, coffee, powder juices and the likes. MPPC started operations in 2003 as a toll packer for Fonterra Brands Phils., Inc. form... erly New Zealand Milk through contract with San Miguel Yamamura Packaging Specialists Inc., formerly San Miguel Packaging Products. Scope of work then was straight-packing of bulk powder into different stock keeping units (SKU) using PAKONA FFS machine from India and manual packaging. Since then MPPC has evolved and continues to achieve continuous developments. MPPC did toll packing for RFM Corporation for their SELECTA FCMP. MPPC also invested in a semi-automatic Nordale cartoner machine from Canada to maximize the packaging efficiency. Additional equipments were bought such as Inkjet coder and case coder. Snow Mountain Dairy Corporation entrusted the packing of their Birch Tree FCMP with MPPC. Magnolia Inc. also launched their Magnolia FCMP packed by MPPC. In the latter part of the year, MPPC leased the adjacent warehouse bringing a total floor area of 1940 square meters to accommodate the expansion of the plant. It is in the same year that MPPC diversified into blending operations. A one-ton dry blending system from complete with a vacuum transfer system to transport the blended product directly to the filling machine was built for this purpose. MPPC in its continuous commitment towards Quality was awarded the HACCP certification for its packing operations by TUV SUD Philippines. MPPC did packing project for Wyeth Phils., Inc. for their raw material. Completion of the racking system for both warehouses paved the way for a more efficient and organized raw material and finished goods stocking.
