Mag Tactical Systems LLC, was formed by two individuals with 60 years of combined experience in the plating industry. Frank Gilcrest has been in the plating industry for over 40 years. Frank has been the CFO for all the businesses currently owned. Bill King began over 20 years ago plating. In that time he has developed many different plating proces... ses, including a nickel plating process on magnesium. Bill not only has plating experience, but also designed lines and equipment for the plating business. The development of a magnesium alloy firearms receiver came from the experience of plating. The light weight of magnesium and similar strengths of aluminum was the perfect match. Research and development quickly became the focal point for the development and testing of new processes for various applications. Bill has extensive experience in dealing with unique substrate materials. Silicon carbide reinforced aluminum (tank armor) and magnesium, which is notoriously difficult to plate successfully. As Manager of Operations, Bill has provided the training and oversight to many people who have plated millions parts. The process development to plate magnesium and other new materials used in the firearms industry will bring new business opportunities. In addition, Mag Tactical Systems will apply for patents for the processing of these types of materials in the future to help secure our technology and future. Jake Stocks, General Manager for MAG Tactical Systems. Jake is responsible for managing all daily operations, and aids with development of new strategies to evolve MAG Tacticals??s business unit. Jake has a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Automation Engineering from ITT Technical Institute and an Associates of Science and Electronics. Jake also has 7 years of Management experience in the field of Cast & Machining Manufacturing, and has maintained and developed ISO, QS, and TS quality systems.
