About Mac's Auto Service
Mac's II is an independent full service auto repair center built for one purpose; to help you with your car. Being an independent shop, we are not a franchise and we are not a dealer. We are a Rochester based family owned auto repair business that has been helping people with their vehicles for over 75 years. Why is it called Mac's II? Mac Gan started this business in his parents backyard on Langham Street in 1935. He was 17 years old. Pictured below are Mac's parents! Today it is owned by his son Ken. There were a few years in the 1980's when there were two locations. When the second location opened in 1986, it was called Mac's II. Upon the sale of the original shop on Seneca Avenue in 1990, it was decided to continue to call the Brighton location Mac's II. There is only one location even though it is called Mac's II.
