About Luz Project
Luz Project is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt charitable organization which seeks God's guidance and direction for outreach, ministering and evangelizing in the poverty stricken areas of Alagoas, Brazil. Luz Project's roots began as a church construction mission team in 1998 in Murici, Alagoas, Brazil. Over the past 15 years, God has enabled the mission team to assist in the construction of 23 churches while also being involved in several ministries in each of these communities. Rocky Creek Baptist Church in Greenville, SC has been an instrumental partner of our mission trips since 1998. In January 2010, Life Community Church in Greensboro, NC joined this partnership in ministry. For the July, 2010 mission trip, "Hope For Brazil" was established as the new name for our ministry.
