After meeting with AVEDA representatives she was able to convince them to partner with her vision to bring quality styling and color products along with cutting edge hair care to the area. And so LUX was born. As the old saying goes "timing is everything". And for the village of Saugerties and the surrounding areas the timing couldn't have been any... better to welcome a high end, quality salon to town. The community welcomed LUX with open arms and business grew fast. To Francine's pleasant surprise there was more business than she could handle and so came the decision to hire employees. The question was how to hire a staff that achieves the high standard that the patrons of LUX were accustomed to and yet allow the liberties that come along with the creative spirit that is in all hair stylists. And this is where LUX founded the education based mentorship program that they use today.
