Founded in 1981, Lutheran Music Program is home to Lutheran Summer Music (LSM), a four-week residential training and performance program. In late July, we announced an exciting challenge to the LSM community. If we could raise $30,000 by September 30, an anonymous donor would step forward with an additional $30,000 gift. We are thrilled to announce that we made our goal! Since the announcement of the 30th Anniversary Challenge Grant, 174 donors contributed just over $50,000 to Lutheran Music Program. Most of the gifts we received were under $500. Many were $10, $25, $50, or $100 - demonstrating once again that contributions of all sizes make a difference. Your generosity over the past six weeks will help us build a solid foundation for the future of Lutheran Music Program. We conclude our anniversary year with tremendous gratitude for the many people who have invested their time, talent, and treasure over the past three decades. The vitality of Lutheran Music Program is a direct result of the community we serve - the students, parents, alumni, and friends who act as tireless advocates on behalf of our mission.
